I live near Seattle. I lived and worked in Asia for more than seven years, and I have been returning to Vietnam since 2011. The country gave me a word, thương, before I had language for what it carried, and much of what I write now traces back to that.

I write fiction and short essays. Thương, my first novel, is finished.
